La Porte's Independence Celebration Fireworks Show returns to Fox Memorial Park on July 3 for a spectacular start to the Fourth of July weekend. The City of La Porte will light up the sky with free fireworks over Clear Lake after dusk (approximately 9pm), sponsored exclusively by Visit Michigan City LaPorte.

Adding to the festivities, The 1985 takes the Dennis F. Smith Amphitheater stage for two sets of high-energy 80s pop, rock, new wave, and metal -playing from 7:30 to 9pm and again following the fireworks from 9:30 to 10:30pm. Food trucks and a beer garden will be on site near the amphitheater, with parking available throughout Fox Park.
